Hello darlings.
Well, I made it to my adopted mother's house. It was quite eventful getting here too.
As most of you know I left on this past Wendesday at about one in the afternoon. We took a cab all the way to Owatana to see
one of Flints' clients, Hope. There he helped her with her braille note stuff and i sat and read a Rolling Stones magazine
that she had gotten in the mail. It kept me entertained ffor a bit reading all about the fact that women are dominating the
music world, spacifically the pop charts. Lady Gaga made it in that catagory. Go Lady Gaga! That woman rocks. Her song Show
Me Your Teeth is one of my new favorites at the present time. Bad Romance really rocks my socks as well. Most of her songs
are just awesome.
We finally left Hope's house and took the big grey dog, (greyhound) to Minneapolis. We ended up at the Nicolette Mall and
decided to stop for food at the Apple Bee's there. I had this really really good pasta and split a cookie Sundae with Flint,
that was good too. We left and then finally went to our hotel where we found vending machines and I got this awesome
strawberry icecream and a bottle of water. We watched TV for a bit and then we went to sleep.
On Thursday, we got up and Flint worked on the laptop to make sure it was ready for my internet use whilst at my adopted
mom's. Yes, I finally got internet on my cell phone. Isn't it awesome? I think so. After he finished with the laptop we left
the hotel and borded a bus and went back to the Nicolette mall for a funfilled morning at the huge Target there. I did a bit
of shopping for my cat getting him some treats and a new cat toy. I also picked up some ponytail holders as I stupidly forgot
to pack some from home. Duh? I couldn't believe I forgot them, ah well no biggy. We left Target and headed to find the Light
Rail which we have dubbed The Right Lail. I know sounds strange right? Well it's all Flint's fault really. He was trying to
say that we needed to ride the light rail but instead it came out lide the right lail. So...that's how the Light Rail became
the Right Lail.
We got on The Light Rail and went off to The Mall Of America. There we went to Johnny Rockets for lunch. Oh man they have
some of the most awesome food ever! Probably some of the most awesome food in the universe if you ask me. After food, we went
to the dollar tree so I could pick up a new tooth brush and some tooth paste, or if you ask me it's a new fang brush and some
new fang paste. Then we found a candy store where they were selling one pound, yes everyone one pound of jellybeans for
$11.96. That was the end of that idea, I was not going to pay that much for one pound of jellybeans. That was one expensive
candy store. I then decided to go and look for dolphins so off to the Underwater World giftshop we went. We only could go to
the upstairs one as we would have had to get special permission to visit the downstairs one. The downstairs one is for the
people who paid money to go to the actual Underwater World thingy. I'd love to go to that but being that I can't see anything
anymore I don't really see the point. i didn't find any dolphins that i wanted accept for this huge stuffed dolphin that was
like $45, I would have gotten it if I had had room to carry it. I wasn't going straight home either. Big time bummer. Oh
well, what can one do, right? It was finally time to leave there and we went to catch the North Star which is the train that
would take me to my adopted mother's house. Ok, allow me to make a slight correction, it would take me into Big Lake where my
mom met me. On the way there, we ended up having to stop because someone decided it would be a good idea to run out in front
of the train. It was a very bad idea if you want to know what i honestly thought about that situation. We finally got going
again and i made it there to my mother.
Not much happened the rest of that night. I just ate some soup and pretty much went to bed. I was so exhausted.
Friday was spent visiting my brother Chris and meeting his Girlfriend Jenny. I was so happy to see Chris, Courtney and Ivy.
Ivy is sooooo cute!!! Unfortunately she was a bit crabby and so she was crying a lot. I was glad I got to meet her though. I
held her a lot too. I almost had her asleep and then Kylie who is Jenny's daughter yelled and woke her up. I was one unhappy
vampiress. Boy Ivy sure is attached to Chris. She loves her daddy that's for sure. Chris is very attached to Ivy as well.
Saturday I got to see Mike, Tiffany, Gracie and Olivia. Gracie and Olivia have gotten so big since I last saw them. They are
so fun though. We played hide and seek, they got me to pretend I was a butterfly and they put the butterfly net over my head
and caught me, They talked to me about different types of birds and we played outside as well. Those girls love animals so
much. Gracie tells me she wants to be a veterinarian. I think that is so awesome. I really hope she feels that way even after
she grows up. Gracie is seven and Olivia is four. After they stayed for a few hours they went home. I was happy to see them
all.
Sunday finally rolled around and I got ready to come back home. I went and spent a little bit of time with Chris again before
I came home. We went to have coffee at a place called The Monticello Corner Cafe. While there i ran into an old friend. My
friend came over and gave me a hug and asked me if I remembered her. I didn't remember her voice. I felt like crap for that
one but I hadn't seen her in years. I first asked if it was Patty because she was like, "You took a really long trip with me
to Colorado." I thought about it for a few minutes and then she was like, "I drove us there." Then it clicked. Chantelle! I
exclaimed. She said yup that's me and we hugged again. It was good to see her again. She was working there at the cafe. She
told me she has four kids, 5, 4, 3 and 2. I was like wow, really close in age. I was amazed. Chris and I finished our coffee
and we went back to meet my mom who was at the park with Courtney and Ivy.
My mom and I left and drove to the airport where i met Flint and we went to the Land To Air together. I was supposed to catch
my bus at three but the bus decided to leave earlier than three and so I missed it and ended up having to stay there and wait
for four hours till i could catch the next one. Needless to say I was so pissed off! Why did it have to leave early? It
finally came time for me to go thank goodness. I came home and played on the comp for a bit and then went to sleep. I was so
exhausted from the day.
So that's my trip in a nutshell, a really big nutshell but there you have it. I did warn you guys in my last entry that this
would be a mininovel.
Why didn't I go to Ohio you might be asking? Well, I talked to my brother and he wants/needs to wait till he gets his taxes
back and then we are going to drive down there. I am hoping that I can bring Gina back with me. *smiles*
Ok, so this entry's long enough. I'm going to go because i'm getting tired of writing at the moment. LOL!
