New Jobs And Other Ramblings

Greetings readers

The vampiress is extremely excited! Why you may be asking? Well, simply the answer is this...
I now have three, count them, three jobs!

1. My job at Land To Air
2. A DJ
3. A braille proof reader

I did my audition for the DJ position this past Tuesday night and the people at the club were impressed with how i do things and the DJ who is there now said to Vampy, "Wow she's better than I am, her way of doing things is way more complicated than what I do, I just sit and play songs using Itunes." That made me feel good really. I mean Amber who is the current DJ does this for a living. Me? I'm just an internet DJ. The crowd tha was there was so awesome! There was a lot of interaction with them. They requested songs and danced and when I was done for the night, they all clapped and cheered loudly. It was one of the most awesome feelings in the world. I know that sounds so cliche but I really don't know how else to describe it. It was so different than just doing this over the internet. After this past Tuesday night however I can say this, Live Stream Celebrations has been born! That is what i have chosen to name my small business. It is amazing! In the spring, on May 21 I get to DJ a formal spring dance. I'm excited about this. The only thing I don't like is that I have to dress up in prom type atire. Any of you who know me knows that I hate dressing up. LOL! I'll do it however because it will be fun.

My braille proof reading job is awesome too! I get to go and proof read signs that will be posted on bathrooms and numbers that will be posted on hotel walls to tell you what room you are at. I'm not sure what else that will entell but they said there will be more to it than just reading signs. They have even offered to bring the stuff to my house since transportation will cost me $20 to get to and from that job. I'm all for that.

Having said all of that, I do need to say that I am very thankful that i have these jobs. I never thaught I'd be working because of the economy. There are people who are struggling to find jobs and just to know that I have three, I'm happy and at the same time I wish that everyone struggling can find jobs. That is my wish for everyone searching.

Apparently I am now hated because i work at Land To Air. There was a girl there who did her internship before me who for many reasons didn't get the job. I was not told why she didn't get it however. She is also blind. Then here I come and do my internship and before my internship was over my boss was hinting at wanting to hire me and of course he did. But this girl now hates me because she feels I stole the job away from her and she can't understand why I got hired and she didn't. I dont' understand why I am now hated by her, it wasn't my fault that I got hired and she didn't. Also it's not like I rub it in her face either, i'm not that kind of person. I'm not sure what to think anymore. I suppose if she is going to hate me there's nothing I can do and i'm not going to sit and talk trash about her either. Whatever will be, will be.
I will say this much however and then I'll let the subject drop...

This past Wednesday, I went to the Mall Of America. That was a fun trip. I picked up some stuff while i was out there. I went in to Marshalls looking for bedding and I didn't find it but i did come out of there with a new pair of shoes. I'm such a shoe fanatic. I then went to the Dollar Tree and found a few things there as well. I got a set of four Coca cola glasses. For a dollar they are very nice and durable. They are green as well but green's an ok color. Green's not the color I would have chosen but like I said they should last a long time as durable as they are. And did i forget to mention green was the only color they had? After that store it was off to Perfume Mania where i picked up a new scent of perfume. It's called Hearts and Beggars. Yup decided to wear a new scent as I am getting bored with my Twilight Woods one. Oh no don't get me wrong, it's still my favorite scent by far but I think I need a change. We then went to the Microsoft store and saw some computers and things like that, rather boring actually. My final destination was the Bos store. Now I could hang out there all day! I found a set of Bos speakers that i would really love to get. They cost $250 and so I decided that right now that's just not on my "can afford list." Vampy did tell me they have the same set at Sam's Club AKA Sammy's Clubhouse for way cheaper. I think I'll look there. We also saw this huge TV and it was the ost amazing thing I have ever come across. There were no speakers visible really and yet the sound was incredible! The sound was, or seemed to be all around you. That costs about $5029. I think I'll pass on that too. I wish I could aford something like that though. If i could, that thing would be mine! i got to eat at one of my favorite places there as well. Johnny Rockets is most delicious. I was a bit disappointed this time however because usually when you are there eating, they have oldies playing in the background as they are a fifties style type restaurant. The food's a bit spendy but excellent. But back to what I was saying before, they usually have oldies playing and this time for some reason they didn't have the music on. So Vampy had his Ipod and he played oldies for me while we were there eating. It was sweet actually. LOL! Don't you guys go getting any big ideas about Vampy and me. Not happening. LOL! It was finally time to leave so before we took off, we went to the little convenient store and purchased some Live Wire as we can't get that here in Mankato. For those who may not know, that's the orange Mountain Dew.

Well I suppose I have kept you guys reading for long enough. I will end this now. I need to run to the bank and i think I'm going to run to Subway when I'm done with that errand. Before I go, I will leave you with something that I got a while back. i look at it as one of these "life's lessons" things.

The Four Candles

The Four Candles burned slowly. Their Ambiance was so soft you could hear them speak...

The first candle said, "I Am Peace, but these days, nobody wants to keep me lit."
Then Peace's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.

The second candle says, "I Am Faith, but these days, I am no longer indispensable."
Then Faith's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.

Sadly the third candle spoke, "I Am Love and I haven't the strength to stay lit any longer." "People put me aside and don't understand my importance.
They even forget to love those who are nearest to them."
And waiting no longer, Love goes out completely.

Suddenly...

A child enters the room and sees the three candles no longer burning.
The child begins to cry, "Why are you not burning? You are supposed to stay lit until the end."
Then the Fourth Candle spoke gently to the little boy, "Don't be afraid, for I Am Hope, and while I still burn, we can re-light the other candles."
With Shining eyes the child took the Candle of Hope and lit the other three candles.

Never let the Flame of Hope go out of your life.
With Hope, no matter how bad things look and are...Peace, Faith and Love can shine brightly in our lives.

And with that...I now disaparate.
