Greetings earthlings, aliens, vampires, humans or whatever you prefer to be called.
First I would like to start by saying that my heart goes out to all the people that were affected buy the tornado that hit this past Sunday in North Minneapolis Minnesota and the one that hit joplin Missouri. I am saddened by all the loss of life and by all the people who were displaced due to the terrible storms. My thaughts and prayers are with all of you affected and to the families who lost family members.
I just can't believe how crazy the weather has been this year. From the severe storms to the snowfall and not to mention the huge earthquakes that have hit other countries. No, earthquakes aren't weather but they are just as bad if not worse in some cases. What is going on with this world? Or more accurately, what is going on with mother nature? Who ticked her off? Who ever it was or what ever it was, stop it! LOL! Please no more severe devistating storms, no more bad things going on with mother nature. I don't mind the storms but when they are so bad that they destroy life...it's too much.
Ok so let's start with Friday night, the night before the formal dance...
I went to Rachel's to pick up my dress. While there they wanted me to try it on to make sure everything fit. You would think they'd do this before the night before the dance but what do I know? I'm just me, a little old potions mistress. LOL! Cheryl asked me to bring my shoes and the jewelry that I was to wear also. I braught everything with me and when we got there I put everything on as they wanted to see what everything would look like. After a few minutes of staring, they declared me ready for the dance. The dress fit, the shoes went nicely and the jewelry look good with my dress. I wore a silver necklace, a pair of red and silver earrings that belonged to Deborah's mother and a black clip in my hair that look like it has silver in it. It was really nice of Deborah to entrust me with something so precious to her. Her mother passed away and those earrings were one of the things that Deborah got from her mother. I was shocked when she offered to let me borrow them.
Saturday I got up and it was off to get my hair done. The whole time Sarah was doing my hair, all she kept saying was, "Wow your hair is really really long!" and "Your hair is so soft!" and "This is going to take me forever to do." I sort of felt bad for her because she wasn't given a heads up as to how long my hair is. In fact she asked her mother-in-law, "How come you didn't tell me that her hair is down past her butt?" Cheryl's response was, "I didn't think it would have mattered." It took about an hour and a half before she was finally finished doing my hair. That night after the dance I spent a lot of time pulling bobbypins out of my hair. I lost count of how many there were. It felt really weird to have my hair up as I don't usually have it all up. I mostly leave it down or wear it in a ponytail if it gets too hot.
So this past Saturday night's dance was...how to describe it...amazing and sucky at the same time if that's possible. I say it is but that's just me. I say it was amazing because you cannot imagine how thrilling it is to have so many people having so much fun because of my music. While i was up there on that stage djing, I was on this high, it was a rush, it was amazing exhilarating and a lot of other things I could use to describe the experience. I think that I was meant to be an entertainer. Now if i could just fully get over this damn stage fright...
Dressing up sucked royally! I say this because i just hate dressing up in formal clothes. I now have this dress that I will probably never ever in my whole life wear again...along with these sandals...at least I can wear those again with anything I wish.
During dinner, the waitress came by to bring someone at our table some pop and she ended up spilling some on my dress. I was like oh lord! Now i have to wear this for the rest of the night but she was nice and cleaned it off for me. She apologized profusely and I just ended up telling her not to worry about it, that I was ok and so was my dress.
Dinner was really good. We had ribs, chicken, scalloped potatos, greenbean casserole and for dessert cheese cake. There were three different kinds of cheesecake. There was strawberry, raspberry and plain. I chose the strawberry. As for the ribs and the chicken, you could choose one or the other, or you could have a rib and a piece of chicken if you wanted. I chose the chicken. Not bad really.
I was happy to get home that night, I was so glad to get out of my formal dress. My first thaught was relief. After that, it was thaughts of thunderstorms as we were supposed to get some that night. We didn't get them, only rain. LOL!
Well, I know there was something else i wanted to write about but can't think of it right now. I'm tired and so sleepiness has clouded my thaught process. Blah! Oh well, I can always right about it when i think of it.
So I suppose this is my cue to end this for now and post it. I know some of you have been waiting ever so patiently to see the entry about the dance. Well, here you go. Enjoy my readers and I'll be back when I have something more to write.
<3<3<3love to all<3<3<3 Oh and a bite to whoever wants one. LOL! Don't ask that was written on a dare.
Love,
Lily isabella
