Friday Night Excursion

angelofmusic21So last night I decided to go meet Flint at Subway for dinner, we were both craving flatbread subs so we discussed it and it was decided that I'd meet him there. So away I went thinking that it was going to be just like any other night, boy was I wrong.
i get to Subway and we ordered and ate. During the meal I asked him about running to Cub so that I could pick up a few things and he said sure. WE get there and we were shopping and all of that happy junk. We were having fun and just laughing at stupid stuff. We were passing the Valentine's isle and decided to stop and have a look. We were going through the different cards and laughing at the goofy ones. Flint found this one card that said on the front, You might want to save this Valentine's Day card for later. When you open it it turns into a do not disturb sign. And on the card it says things like, Oh yes, Oh yeah, and oh God. Flint decided to buy it because we both thought it was hilarious. Just for the record, no, neither one of us has a date for Valentine's Day. We often joke about being each other's date for that day because we both hate the day this year. Flint thought he might save it for when he does have another girlfriend.
We finished our shopping and tried to call a cab to go home. Here's where my night gets bad. We tried to call for almost two hours before we finally got an answer. During this time though we were thinking of how we could get home. i don't live that far from Cub, only about a block and a half but it was freezing and snowing and we had too much stuff to carry to be able to walk it. I wouldn't have minded the walk at all had we had ways to carry everything. It was getting to the point where he and i both were getting really irritated and were even contemplating steeling...I mean borrowing the cart to push everything back to my house. We would have brought it back today, so if we had done that it really wouldn't have been considered steeling right? I mean we would have returned it, really we would have. So we started walking home and as we were walking he called and finally got through to them. So after two very long cold hours we finally got to go home.
Now, normally this wouldn't have been a huge deal but during bar rush they should have more cabs or at least that's what we think. And why didn't they answer the phone when we got through the first couple of times? It just rang and rang and then hung up on us. It made no sense to us.
When the cab got there they were very apologetic and I didn't have the heart to yell like i had planned. The driver felt really bad that we had been stuck there. Flint wasn't so nice though, he told them exactly what we had both been thinking about them not having enough drivers. The driver explained why, he said that no one wants to work for just a few hours, they all want longer hours. I can understand that to a point, but with the economy the way it is, if I had the chance to make an extra $40 or $50 I take it. That's just me though and i'm not sure how many of you think the same way on that but there it is. I'm not going to say anymore on the subject, I'm home safe and sound obviously and so subject closed for now.
It's official! i am now a DJ on mojoradio! I am so excited and can't wait to start my hsows. My DJ name is Bella Moir, The Moir came from Rustyn. It's awesome. I love it! Moir means dark and mysterious. Bella, dark and mysterious, it has an awesome ring to it. My shows are as follows, Thursday night from 10 pm to 1 am eastern. The show is a classic rock show. On Sunday nights from 7 pm to 10 pm eastern you can expect to hear irish and celtic music. i may even throw in a recipe from over there from time to time. Just a note, this Sunday however I won't be doing my show, the super bowl's on and i intend to watch that. For anyone who's interested, I'm rooting for The Colts, they will prevail! LOL!

Just a quick update on the moving situation.
It is quite possible I found out that by Tuesday of next week I will be in the new apartment. Not sure yet but we will see if that actually happens. If it does then I may be without net for a few days. Here's hoping I will have net though. LOL!
Well I suppose, that's it for now. I'm off to do whatever it is I need to do. I'm sleepy so we'll see how much I get done.
