Before I get to anything else in this entry I'd like to wish fellow lioness [Bad username: mccayla.livejournal.com] a very very happy birthday! May you get everything you wish for and more. *hugs*
I saw this quote on Twitter and wanted to share it with you all. It makes a lot of sense if you think about it
"Chances are like lightning; they never hit the same spot twice. So when a chance comes your way grab it, cuz it may never come again."
I love this quote, it's one that makes me do some thinking and thinking is dangerous for me to do. LOL! It gets me into too much trouble.
My birthday this past Tuesday was really fun! It actually took me two days to celebrate it. This was probably the best birthday I have had in a very long time.
Tuesday I got to work and when I got to my desk I was given a birthday card. I was truely amazed at the thaught that my coworkers and my boss had put into the card. It was written in braille and it described what the picture was on the front and what the card was shaped like. All of the drivers had signed it and some even wrote little notes along with their signatures. I was touched.
Donna who is one of the drivers here came in and she had made an angel food cake and brought some strawberries and dream whip to put on top of it. I don't know how she knew that strawberry shortcake was one of my favorite desserts but it was awesome. She's a very good baker.
then I got some flowers which again I was really surprised at. It was very sweet and some people at work teased me for getting flowers. LOL!
At lunch time, Chris who is one of the psychologists came and took me to Mexican Village for a free birthday meal. I decided on tacos and mexican rice. I had lots of leftovers and ended up eating them that night for dinner. She felt bad because she was late coming to get me and so we had to rush lunch because she had a meeting she had to get back to. I told her not to worry about it and that I still had a good time anyway.
I was supposed to go out after I got home from work but Vampy ended up going to help his parents with something. It really didn't matter because I ended up with a migraine that evening and ended up going to sleep sort of early. I woke up when he got home but I was so tired I wasn't dragging my sleepy arse out anywhere, so it was decided that we'd go out on Wendesday instead.
Yesterday we were thinking of going to see Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2, but I decided that I'd save a bit of money and skip it sense we had seen it already. When it comes out on DVD though, it's mine! I shall own it. So change of plans...
We went to Baker's Square which has some of the best food! I ended up ordering breakfast food sense I had a really bad craving for eggs. Eggs have proteine, see the health perks of eating eggs. With my eggs I got french toast and some bacon. I ended up not being able to finish my food because they gave me like 6 pieces of french toast. It was awesome but I just couldn't finish it. At Baker's Square on Wednesdays it is free pie day so I got a slice of pie called Celebration pie. It tastes exactly like birthday cake and ice cream. It was one of the most tasty slices of pie i have ever had! I now have my favorite kind of pie from there. After food we went over to Wal-mart. As a birthday present to myself, I got some new sheets for my bed that are so soft they almost feel like satin. I got a movie called love Actually which stars the sexy Alan Rickman, The Karate Kid, The First Wives Club and Die Hard. there are a couple of others that I can't remember the name of at the moment. Die Hard also has the sexy Alan Rickman in it. :P. We finally finished shopping and headed for home.
All in all, i had an awesome birthday!
Now i'm here at work waiting for the end of the day. I'm extra excited to get home this afternoon as I get to help with building my brand new computer. It's something I have never done before and I can't wait to see how it's done and to see if i can actually help or if it's mostly visual. Jim used to build computers and he was totally blind too, so I think this should be no problem. i know there may be somethings I can't do but there are things I can. That is if they haven't made things more complicated. :D.
I seriously don't know what's wrong with our passengers today but some of them are making me want to pull my hair out. LOL! I had one call in earlier and she scheduled a ride for tomorrow at 9:00 am. So I told her that she'd have to be at our office by 8:30 for check-in. She was like ok, but then she tells me, "Well I will try to be there by that time. If i oversleep I'll call you and let you know." I told her ok thanks, we'll see you tomorrow morning. but what I was really wanting to tell her was, Ok but if you miss your shuttle because you have overslept it's not our fault. We have to get other passengers to their flights as well so we can't be waiting around for you while you decided that you wanted to sleep in late. You just can't be mean to the passengers though. Then, I had another one call in who wanted to take our 3:30 shuttle this afternoon. He said he wanted to be picked up at MSU and so I told him ok it will be in between 3:00 and 3:15 when the driver gets there to pick you up. He then proceeds to tell me, "Well I don't know if I can make it for that time, if I can't I'll come to your office." So I asked him, "Do you just want the driver to meet you at our office then? That way he doesn't have to make an unnecessary trip." Dude then says, "No, he can come here but I just don't know if I'll make it. If I can't I'll come to the office." Well as you all know, the customer is always right so I left it at that. After hanging up the phone from that one, I was ready to pull out my hair. :P
So, just for a bit of amusement...

Oops? Can I get into trouble for that statement? Oh damn, I need to be more careful of the things I say don't I? *laughs*.
Alright, I'm off. It's after two and I should go and prepare to do my end of the day work. So off to post before I take off. Later darlings.
