Writer's Block: Rescue mission

[Error: unknown template qotd]If someone purposely set fire to my house and I had just ten minutes to get out, would I save the arsonist or my belongings?
Well, my belongings can be replaced. They are just material posessions that I have because I wanted them, not because i needed them.
I would try to save the arsonist because I can't stand to see anything happen to a human life even if they have done something horrid against me. There could be many reasons why this person did what they did and who am I to judge? Justice will come to them in the end and that's good enough for me.

I would however also save something that is very dear to me and that is my cat, Ozzy. Many would say that a pet can be replaced as well however for me my pets are like my family. I see them as a part of me and if anything were to happen to Ozzy I'd feel as if I had lost a part of me.

So yes, humans and cats/pets I'd save in a heartbeat. All other posessions? Nah, replacements would be in order.

I know I know it's been forever and I swear, I'm working on an entry worth reading. LOL! I'm trying to get my wordpress to interact with my lj again so I can write in both places. Well technically it would go from my wordpress to my lj so I suppose I'm only writing once, not twice. Once that's done I'll once again be a happy vampiress. I'll still answer writer's block questions when I see ones i like.

Finally! An Update!

Good afternoon darlings.

Y'know, the saying "Be careful what you wish for" comes to mind at this particular time.
As I sit here typing out this entry, I am under a tornado watch until nine o'clock tonight. I had wished and wished for

thunderstorms and this is what i get. Man, Mother Nature has a really crappy sense of humor at times doesn't she? But it's

not really her fault, it was my darn wishing that got me here. LOL! Ah well, I shall welcome the storms with open arms. Just

as long as I don't actually get tornados I'll be all good.

Ok so here I am, as promised writing this entry for your reading enjoyment while listening to nightdrake

broadcast on Vampiric Radio. It's amazing, when I first set up Vampiric Radio i only wanted to play around with it, just a

project to mess with and now there are three others who broadcast on it besides myself. So thank you to nightdrake and djedward and to Flint AKA Vampy for their talents and for making Vampiric Radio what it is

now. There's a wide range of music that gets played on there and I'm sure there's something for everyone on there. I will be

getting automation back up and going again soon. When that happens I'll let you all know in case you are interested in

Lately I have bene competing in this American Idle type thing here in Mankato. Originally there were about 30 of us that

competed and out of the 30 that did I made it into the top 12 singers. Next week on Tuesday night I get to see if I made the

top 10. When we got announced we had to sing again and this time we had actual judges. Way to make me nervous people. Tell me

we are being judged by actual judges with my oh so lovely stage fright. LOL! Ah well such is the ways of competing right? Who

knew, actual judges? What a concept! LOL! Being in this competition is actually helping me with said stage fright so I'm

happy for that. This of course will help me in my other endeavors. I would like to be a singer in a band, not one that

becomes famous, I don't want all of that publicity, but a band that just travels and performs for events. I'd also like to be

a singer for weddings and things like that. Right now those are dreams that I'd like to someday make a reality.

There is another idea in the works for a possible career, something that i'm very very excited about. I am working twoards

becoming a party DJ. How fun would that be!!! DJing for weddings, graduations and whatever else I would be needed for. DJing

at a bar if I was needed for that as well wouldn't be so horrid either. I will actually get my first opportunity to DJ for

this club that Flint and I are in every other Tuesday. They are willing to give me a shot and Flint reckonds that if they

like me they will hire me on. Right now they have a DJ from out of the club and they think that having a disabled one would

make a good impression for the club. The club is made up of all disabled people right now with all sorts of different

disabilities. It sounds fun anyway, I can't wait till I have my first gig, what a rush that will be!!

I'd still like to teach braille but for some reason it seems that they are having issues with getting the certification test

for me. This frustrates me because i have all of this braille knowledge and can't teach it right now because i don't have the

piece of paper saying that I'm qualified to teach it. The only place I'd be able to take it right now is the NFB convention

in Texas and they were trying to avoid sending me there. Now it's too late for me to go. I'm sort of frustrated because once

again I end up not doing the job i want to do. They are looking for alternatives and hopefully they find one for me. Yes

being a party DJ would be fun but i'd like to try and do both jobs if I could and DJing wouldn't be an everyday thing, it

would be just when needed.

I went to songs on the lawn today. It sucked! I got sunburned and i wasn't out there for that long, only about 1 and a half

hours. It was soooo hot and soooo humid though, it was nasty. I was glad to get out of the sun but boy I can feel it now. It

hurts. I think I've got something to put on it though.

I can't wait for the 29th of june! Twilight trilogy here I come!!! Flint and i have tickets to go watch all three Twilight

movies back-to-back. Twilight will be shown at 7:15, New moon after that and then at 12:01 they will show Eclipse. June 30th

when it comes out, so I will get to see it before most of my friends who want to see it do. I'd love to bring all of my

friends with who'd like to see it but I unfortunately can't. I'll let you know how it goes when I see it.

Well that's about it from here. Right now we are under a severe thunderstorm warning and it's hailing. i can actually hear it

hitting the windows. So off i go to post this hopefully I can do it now and not lose power before it gets posted. I don't

know that I will lose power but during a storm like this one doesn't want to take chances. Yup, time to jet, tornado warnign

in effect! Laters!
