*Apparates in*

Greetings.

First off I'd like to say that my heart goes out to all the people affected by yesterday's earthquake. I can't believe how many states were able to feel it. Thank God there were to my knowledge, no fatalities.
Also to those who could quite possibly be in the path of Hurricane Irene, please be safe and be careful out there. I worry for those in New England *ahem* and of course for those that are in the path of the storm. My thaughts to you all. As I said, stay safe.

It's been a while but here I finally am. Before I get to the what's been going on in my life part of this entry, I'd like to share this extremely amusing joke that I got from my coworker, Barb. Jason read it as well and he cracked up.
For all of you who are fans of "the dark lord,"...erm...sorry, I mean President Obama, you may not wish to read what's behind the cut. If you are not an Obama fan, by all means proceed.

Pearly Gates

A man died and went to heaven.
As he stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a
huge wall of clocks behind him.

He asked, 'What are all those clocks?'

St. Peter answered, 'Those are Lie-Clocks.

Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock.

Every time you lie the hands on your clock will move.'

'Oh,' said the man, 'whose clock is that?'

'That's Mother Teresa's. The hands
have never moved, indicating that she
never told a lie.'

'Incredible,' said the man. 'And whose clock is that one?'

St. Peter responded, 'That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have
moved
twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life.'

'Where's President Obama’s clock?' asked the man.

Obama’s clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan.

Sorry, I couldn't resist, I love it!

My new computer is really cool! Well at least to me it is. It has a tape deck, yeah I know, what would I want with a tape deck, right? It's because I still have cassettes that I from time-to-time like to pull out and listen to. They have memories for me. It also has a card reader with a USB port, so I have three USB ports on the front of my computer instead of two. It has a DVD reader/burner and an empty drive bay however, I'm searching for something to put in the empty one. Vampy suggested a floppy drive, he said that way I will have everything I need. I laughed at that suggestion although now I'm thinking I might get one to put in there. It has two two TB hard drives, both Western Digital, I'm never buying a Seagate again thank you very much, and it has a one TB drive as well. Yes, that one's also a Western Digital. I shouldn't be mean about it but I'm still really bitter about my drive failing and losing all of my stuff. I should have backed things up and then I wouldn't have had that problem. So, ultimately it's sort of my fault for not buying a different drive sooner. Ah well, lesson learned and in the end isn't that all that really matters? I know there are those of you who don't mind a Seagate but they aren't for me. It's a quad core and has two gig of ram in it. The on board sound isn't bad at all and i'm not sure about the video but I don't really care about that anyway seeing how I can't see the screen anymore. I'm still running Windows XP Pro but I'm not sure if I really want to atempt Windows 7. Maybe I will brave it one day but for now I'm stuck in my ways. :P

I have been teaching myself how to use a MAC. So far it's not so bad. I'm thinking that I would love to use that instead of running Windows. I need to play with it more however before i make that decision final. It was funny though because I was on the regular windows laptop and I was trying to give it MAC commands. I was highly amused when I realized what I was doing. Yep, definitely time to get a MAC.

I've got a new book that I wish to read, the problem for me is that it is in print. I need a scanner so I can scan it and read it. I'm all kinds of excited to read it! The book is simply called Alan Rickman. It's about his life and everything he has done and accomplished up to present. I can't wait!

Last Thursday I got the lovely pleasure of going to visit the doctor. It was basically a follow up to my hospital stay again. They did some labs and my hemoglobin looked ok, the doctor said it was a lot better than it was when I was in the hospital. For some unknown reason though the doctor decided to have me take my iron twice a day instead of the one that I was taking it. She also wants me to add an extra vitamin C because apparently it helps your body absorb the iron better. She told me she sent the prescription to my pharmacy but they don't have it, so now i have bene without my iron sense last Thursday. I have been taking my over-the-counter stuff again just so that I have some simblance of iron in my blood. I was afraid to not take anything because I don't wish to go through what I did before with my heart acting stupid again. The problem is though that the over-the-counter iron isn't enough. I hate being so anemic. I will atempt to call my pharmacy again today to see if they finally got my prescription. I'm hoping that they do, if not I shall call my doctor and be all like, oy! I need my iron please? I have to go back October 3 for another check up. Yep more blood draws, yay! Not!

This past Saturday we went shopping at Wallie World (Wal-Mart.) I had to see if I could find some stuff for my bed, a bedbug kit. My doctor thinks that partly the infection was caused by bug bites and so we decided to try this to see if it would work. The thing is, no one is having this issue. Vampy doesn't have them in his room so we are pretty sure it is spiders. No one else has bites like this on their legs so it's just me. Damned spiders anyway. Anyway, we didn't find what I was looking for at Wal-mart for the bed but I did find some pillow protectors and I got those. I also got all kinds of excited because I found all five seasons of Daria on DVD plus two movies that were in the same case as all five seasons. It was really cheap too so I baught it. I also found this really ginormous bath towl that I just had to have. I somehow managed to lose my other huge one so I replaced it. We actually had to go to Shopco for the bedbug kit. It's alright though, at least I got it and it's on the bed. I'm still hoping one day to get my pillow top matress, not just a pillow top but a double pillow top matress. If I can't get a double pillow top, I'll settle for a single pillow top one.

Well, I'm feeling very very frustrated and very unhappy at the present time and this entry has already taken me like three days to write so I'll close for now and write again when I have more to say.

<3Hugs to all<3
