Better Late Than Never

Yeah yeah, I know it's like way late but no matter how hard i tried to get this entry out sooner, it just wasn't happening.
The day of St. Patrick's day I was busy and tired.
Friday, the day after, I had to work and no matter how hard I tried to get a moment of peace I just couldn't because we were so extremely busy that i just couldn't get the time to update.
So what did I do for St. Patrick's day?...absolutely nothing, Unless of course you count eating McDonalds food celebrating. I had a shamrock shake. I wish they had those all year round, those things rule!
We were going to celebrate it but I knew that i had to go in to work the next morning so I figured not a great idea to go into work with a hangover. It was funny though because when I did get to work, one of the drivers, Denis is his name, he was like, "I expected you to be late this morning. I figured you would have celebrated St. Patrick's day last night." I told him I would have liked to have but I decided in the end it wasn't a good idea. He just laughed at me after that. I said that I'd probably be celebrating this weekend, however that didnt' happen either. Oh well, it's alright. I had other things I needed to do such as grocery shopping. Besides I don't think I would have felt much like drinking anything, I don't think my poor body could have handled it. I don't care to write about my health just now so I'll save that for a later date.
Speaking of this weekend, i have been watching the Harry Potter 4 day weekend on ABC Family in hopes of catching scenes from Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2. They keep showing the same scene over and over again. Ah well, I'll just have to wait till july 15 to see the movie. I don't wanna wait that friggin long! Oy! July 15 is their tentitive release date for it at any rate. Right now they are showing Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban. That one's my favorite one out of all of them.
Today is the first day of Spring! This makes me very very happy as I so love this season. The thing that makes it all the better that this is the first day of Spring? This morning we had a thunderstorm. It was awesome! I laid in bed and listened to the thunder roaring. It didn't last very long and it was a small storm but even so, it was great. I can't wait for the longer storms. Supposedly this afternoon and evening we are getting more storms. I haven't heard any yet but I'm waiting.

One more thing I want to post before i sign off for the time being.
I got this in an e-mail and thaught it was worth posting here in my LJ. I have posted this before a long time ago in a different LJ but it is something that is definitely good to think about. I have a cat as most of you know and so this makes me think everytime I read it. It doesn't matter the kind of pet you have, it still applies.
A Pet's Ten Commandments
1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.
10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so. ALWAYS!
After reading this it brought tears to my eyes. Charish your pets always and don't forget, they do have feelings too. Never think for one minute that an animal is dumb or doesn't understand, I believe that they do and if they could talk, some of the things they'd say just may shock you. I know i'd be worried if Ozzy could talk to me, in human speak that is. He does talk to me in cat speak which I haven't really mastered yet. he thinks i have however. I mean, I know when he's hungry and when he's hurting and things like that as he has different meows for everything, so i have learned to tell those and what they mean. I know that animals show you how they feel by their actions at times and just learning and paying attention to them will help you better understand your pet.
Ok, enough of that for now. Like I said just chairish your pet, they will be their for you if you do.
Well, I've got laundry and stuff to do for work tomorrow. I get to work extra hours this next week and the week after as my co-worker Barb is on vacation. She left today actually. I'll miss her, she's good to talk to and a very sweet person.
